Grady's fabulous birthday

Thank you so much to the Albins and Morrisons for making us part of the family for the weekend.  The girls and I met up with them all at the Soaring Eagle waterpark for swimming and a fun pirate party.  Liesl really got into the pirate theme and wore her pirate hat and we made up shirts to go with the theme. She even made a sash around her waist to hold her sword. Thank you Oma for the fabulous Christmas present of sending us! It was a very fun short trip and all the kids were so happy to be together.

First Day of School! First Day of School! I really love the First Day of School!

Liesl enjoyed her first day of school but the whole thing was a little confusing for her as to why we left her there. She said that all of the other kids were crying when their moms left them at school but the teacher calmed them down and everything was ok. The second day she was the one that cried but she said that she did ok and was happy to be home again.

Liesl's mishap that took her to the ER

A few weeks ago Liesl took a trip to the ER because she decided it would be a good idea to put a tiny plastic coin up her nose and push it up as far as she could get it. Needless to say we lost it and didn't know if it was up her nose still or if it had fell out. She did put up quite the fuss screaming and running away and might have fallen out. Well since we didn't know we needed to take her in. She put up quite the fuss when I told her where we had to go and I had to drag her bodily into the car and strap her in. Once we were there though she behaved herself and listened to everything the Dr and nurses asked her to do. She even had to get X-Rays. But alas... once we got home I believe we found the offending piece of plastic. It was a good lesson although I wish we didn't have to get x-rays.

The girls and I have been biking with Oma a little this spring. Liesl now has a Tag along which is a 3rd wheel to Oma's bike and Jeannie is riding in the bugger. We have been going around Stoney and ending up in the kids play area. Liesl loves the treat at the end and so does Jeannie. I am hoping this helps her with riding her own bike when it comes time to take off the training wheels.
