Liesl seems to have developed some serious "favorites" I forgot to say earlier that this weekend she was at the Nature Center saying "Animals Best Friend" and of course "More Animals". Oma Gabi has been obliging her every day with More Animals. Today Oma put her in her Ranger outfit to go to either the Nature Center or the Wolcott Mill Farm again. She really likes the binoculars and the sunglasses that go with the outfit but as toddlers have this unique fashion sense she wore it with her pink water shoes and of course topped it off with her pink bandana to make sure everyone knew about her girlie roots. I am so glad that when we go on our Disney Trip in August that she is going to get to go to Animal Kingdom. She is totally going to be in her element and I am going to of course bring the Ranger Outfit for her. Hopefully she will be 35 inches by then to ride all of the kid rides we would like her to experience. She is 34 inches right now. maybe her tennies will do it for her.
Yesterday evening Liesl, Oma and I went to visit Barb and her pool and Sandi also showed up to watch us swim. Liesl was totally in her element in that pool. She liked to walk up and down the stairs and was totally comfortable with being splashed (which she asked for), walking in to her chin, thrown from Oma to Momma, dunked and swimming between Oma and Momma. She is Momma's little Guppie I tell you. It was a little chilly outside the pool so it was best that we all stay in because it was nice at 85 degrees in there. Liesl was swimming for 3 hours almost and I couldnt get her out.
She kept on trying to run back in on her own. She was really liking the "motorboat song" and me jumping in and splashing her creating waves for her in the whale blow up raft. One time I stood her up outside the pool because she wanted to jump in herself. She started running over to the diving board with me pulling myself like crazy next to her trying to get her to stop and she ran on the diving board to jump in. Fortunately something distracted her and she stopped and I was able to get her to come back to me.
Chilling next to the pool with "Pee-Pee Monkey"
